Phase Three of Human Trafficking Prevention Program
Prevention Package
The prevention audio visual package is developed within phase three of the Program and is focused predominantly on some of the root caused of human trafficking.
The package was developed within Prevention of Trafficking in Human Beings through Life Skills Visualization implemented by CARE International Bulgaria in partnership with production Film Studio AGITPROP, the British Council in Bulgaria and International Social Services – Bulgaria.
The project was realized thanks to the financial support of CARE Privatstiftung.
The package includes films – documented case studies of potential victims of human trafficking – and printed training materials.
The film products titled Children of Destiny – five contemporary stories are presented in two separate disks which contain:
DVD 1 A film about five life stories/ documented case studies presenting the main root causes of trafficking in persons.
DVD 2 Five short films each of them presenting a documented case study/ life story (from DVD 1) about the main root causes of trafficking in persons
The films are accompanied by a packet of training materials, information about the problem of human trafficking and about the places where people can receive support and more information.
In the documentaries we follow our characters through their real life, with their personal ideas about life and dreams for the future.
The film products are meant to be disseminated for educational purposes, for the purposes of the prevention and campaign work but also among the general public.
The training materials are designed to accompany the films. It is not necessary to use them entirely; rather they can serve as an example and can be adapted to the concrete group pf participants or trainees.
The materials are designed for:
- work with students;
- use in secondary schools, colleges or high schools;
- they can be used for English language training (intermediary level – B1 or higher level in the Common European Framework of the Council of Europe) or for training in mother tongue after translation into the respective language;
- discussions and debates during educational or professional seminars with regard to prevention of and awareness raising on the issue of human trafficking;
